Mendieta Osaba Wines is a family-owned and operated boutique winery in Rioja Alavesa offering small-lot, single vineyard wines out of their humble but lovely Rioja Alavesa tasting room.  Located off the beaten path in Lanciego, this charming winery is an intimate retreat from the more traversed, larger wineries of Rioja.  The precise location is as tantalizing as the wines produced.  At first glance, Mendieta Osaba Wines' tasting room and outside patio is so enticing that not only do you want to visit us but you want to stay and live here.  Showcasing beautiful views of our surrounding vineyards, an intimate tasting offers more than delicious pours.

This relaxing and welcoming winery provides a limited tasting selection, kind hosts and a comfortable atmosphere.  We prefer the tasting experience to be informal and friendly.  Depending on the day, there could be barrel tasting, blending or who knows what.  You’ll instantly be seduced by our small-lot, terroir-driven wines.  Be sure to save some time to explore our estate vineyard so you're able to build your own connection to our vines beyond our wines.  One thing is for sure, the Mendieta Osaba family will always make sure that there is great fun and ample wine for all to sample and enjoy!

The tasting fee is 15 euros/person (waived with a two bottle per person purchase).  The tasting includes the two Mendi wines and two appetizers.  Tasting of the Vascomendi range is an additional 5 euros/person.  Tasting available only by appointment.
